Managers of Audex Company visited the World Congress of Accountants

Managing partner of Audex Ayrat Gimadutdinov and Head of Tax and Legal Consulting Department Ildar Khusnutdinov, as part of the delegation of SRO Russian Union of auditors, took part in the XX World Congress of Accountants and Auditors, which was held from 5 to 8 November in Sydney and gathered more than 6 thousand delegates from 130 countries.

Company executives visited working sections of the Congress on important issues of the development of the auditing and accounting profession. The delegation of the SRO held working meetings with President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Rachel Grimes and a number of heads of national accounting and auditing associations. The meeting discussed the development of audit in Russia, the role of IFAC in the world. Much attention was paid to the Guidelines for the Application of International Standards on Auditing  (ISAs) for small and medium-sized businesses.

Ayrat Gimadutdinov gave a TV interview to the Association of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) about the role of professional associations in the development of the profession, about the practice of in Russia.

Summarizing the results of the congress, the President of IFAC, Rachel Grimes, noted that the professions of accountant and auditor require to be open to innovations that facilitate routine operations and save time for creativity, searching for new ideas and new partners. The President urged the participants to actively communicate: “We are part of a large family and it is necessary to pass the experience to each other for the development of the profession in all countries.”

The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) (the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC)) is a global organization of accountants, founded in 1977. Its membership includes 175 members from 130 countries and jurisdictions uniting over 2.5 million accountants employed in public practice, industry, commerce, administration and academic activities. Through the councils included in IFAC, the organization sets international standards in the field of ethics, auditing, education and accounting in the public sector.
